Guests can enjoy: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living/dining room, a
fully equipped guest kitchen, a private, fully furnished, fenced-in
garden with secluded back patio for breakfast and afternoon tea during
the warmer months. Free parking is available on the street. No curfew.Their bright, clean and comfortable home, beautifully furnished with
elegant antiques, is surrounded by a luscious, well-cured garden.
Her family lives above on the second floor and will gladly offer
assistance, help plan day trips or just have a quiet chat about local
customs and activities for those seeking a warm and friendly welcome.
More independent travellers are free to come and go as they please, as
everyone has their own house keys.
If, however, you would prefer to sit back, relax and reflect in
tranquillity among chestnut trees and wildflowers on a breezy hilltop,
consider isolating yourselves in her family's country residence with
its own private woodland park at Marmoraia. In
addition, for wine lovers, her husband Orlando's underground wine cellar,
located in the old town center, dates back to the 1200's. It contains a
collection of about 800 bottles of Italian wines, of which, more than
450 bottles are from different Chianti wineries (some no longer in
existence) and boasts a spectacular rainwater well. There is neither
tasting nor selling of this exclusive collection.
The quiet Siena villa is a 10 minute ride from the train station, a 3
minute walk from the bus station, a 10 minute walk to the famous town
square - Piazza del Campo and numerous museums and churches, a 2 minute
walk to the local grocery store, a 3 minute walk to the Italian National
Enoteca, 2-4 minute walk to local restaurants famous for their home
cooking, good Chianti wine and inexpensive menus. The villa is located
right across the street from the open-air market, around the Medici
Fortress, on Wednesdays, of 250 vendors from all over Tuscany.
