The Basilica of Santa Chiara (St. Clare) pink-and-white striped is characterized by three large flying buttresses, and close to the apse there is square bell-tower. The plan of the church is based on a Latin cross and the whole interior is painted with a cycle of frescos illustrating the legend of Saint Claire by several artists, influenced by Giotto and Lorenzetti. |
