It is a 2 stories 13th Century palazzo built by order of Pope Bonifacio
VIII and located next to the Cathedral, on
the right side of "Piazza del Duomo". In the large halls several art works are
on display:

Enthroned Madonna with Child

A big and splendid "Maestą" (Majesty) with enthroned Madonna,
Child and two Angels, that can be considered one of the most
beautiful altar pieces of the 13th C, a work by the Florentine
painter "Coppo di Marcovaldo", follower of Cimabue, the Giotto's
Master

A polypthyc by Simone Martini including Madonna with Child,
St.Peter, Mary Magdalen, St.Paul and St. Dominic.

The central panel of a polypthyc by Simone Martini: Madonna with
child with Christ benedictory and Angels on the spire.

The "Reliquary of St. Savino" an excellent goldsmith masterpiece
by Ugolino di Vieri.
