Pozzo della Cava is a well dating back to Etruscan times. It is located in "Via dela Cava" in the heart of Orvieto's Medieval quarter. It is 36 meters deep and 3,40 meters width.

Pozzo della Cava is worthy of a visit because it is not only an Etruscan well, but a fascinating  itinerary through  caves, ancient cellars, an real  impressive underground world.

After the tour visitors can sit in the little inner court between the medieval walls in volcanic tufa, enjoying the very fresh pergola. On the spot you can  taste local wine or have a relaxation  with an Italian "espresso" or "Cappuccino" and even a lunch.
