The Church of San Domenico is located in Piazza 29 Marzo,
Orvieto center. The church preserves notable works of art, such as a
beautiful 14th century wooden crucifix attributed to a follower of G. Pisano.
Several paintings of
Umbrian school, such as the fresco of "Crucifixion with the Virgin and St. John".
The "Funerary monument of
the French Cardinal De Braye by the great Italian sculptor Arnolfo Di Cambio, is the most important work preserved here.
Nowadays only remain the head cross of the big church which had 3
naves and expanded for 90 meters.
