Description: The National Museum
has its setting in one of the oldest buildings in Florence
that dates back to 1255. The museum preserves the most
important collection of Renaissance works of Tuscan school.
Among the masterpieces notable are the works by Michelangelo
such as the "Pitti Tondo", Baccus, David-Apollo, the
"Mercury" by Giambologna, "Ganimede" and Bust of Cosimo I"
by Cellini, the two "David" by Donatello, the panels by
Brunelleschi and Ghiberti and some sculptures by Della
Robbia.
Complete the collection carpets, clothes, arms,
jewels, Arab ivories, majolicas, glazed terracottas,
furniture and wooden sculptures.
