The Museum is housed on the 2nd floor of the Palazzo Vescovile (Bishops Palace) next to the Cathedral and the main piazza of Pienza. The 11 rooms display a collection of very beautiful and important art works by Pietro Lorenzetti, Vecchietta, Luca Signorelli and Duccio di Buoninsegna school, as well as jewelry, carpets, tapestries, illuminated manuscripts, sacred vestments and painted wooden sculptures. Of note is the splendid cope belonged to Pope Pio II
