Description: The "Spedale degli
Innocenti" (1400) is worthy of note for the splendid arcade
by Brunelleschi, decorated with round glazed windows by
Della Robbia.
The Museum houses works from the 15th
to the 16th Century among which the best known are the
"Madonna in throne with Child and Saints" a masterpiece by
Piero di Cosimo, the " Adoration of the Magi" (1488) by
Domenico Ghirlandaio, Madonna with Child (1450) by
Luca Della Robbia and Madonna and Child by Sandro
Botticelli.
The art collection also includes a
gallery with detached frescos by Lorenzo Monaco, Bicci di
Lorenzo ad Matteo Rosselli.
