Bed and Breakfast Canicella is located just outside of the town, on
the slopes of the tufa cliff on which Orvieto stands and next to the
Etruscan settlement where the famous "Venere di Canicella" ( Venus
of Canicella) was find.
The ancient
country house dates back to 1800's and has been recently
fully restored It is set in an angle of
paradise between olive groves and vineyards. A
large green lawn surrounds the house.
Breakfast is
the strength of this accommodation. Specialties are served in a pleasant dining room
and the table is prepared with great care. The food is lavish and
recalls the various regional traditional dishes. Upon request are
served vegetarian and macrobiotic breakfasts. Particular attention
is dedicated to the research of autenticity and goodness of
foods, preferring biological and natural products.

All rooms are furnished with taste in simple style and with great
attention to detail. Each room has all comforts: independent
entrance, air conditioning, independent heating, TV/clock
radio, ensuite bathroom, daily cleaning and change of linen twice a
week.

from 80 to 100 euros per night, per room - (It is a bit
over the middle price, but
you don't imagine the beauty of the location and the rich, tasty
breakfast. I have been there twice, to take pictures and, word of
webmaster, I would describe it as a meal ! )
