The Collegiate Church of San Giuliano - Castel Fiorentino, Tuscany
[Italy]
It is a mighty Neo-Classical with a Latin cross plan. The three nave
inside ends in a mighty apse and has a dome covered by a polygonal "tiburio"
ending in a lantern. Inside are the beautiful altarpiece representing
"Madonna and Child enthroned with Saints peter, Paul, Julian and
Michael" by Bartolomeo della Gatta (1486) , a "Maestΰ" by Segna di
Bonaventura(14th Century) and two 17th century paintings on canvas by
Salvi Castellucci. Next is a parish church preserving the "Mourning
around Christ" a beautiful and dramatic fresco by Luca Signorelli (1502)
