The vine has been cultivated in the Aosta
Valley since the Roman period or perhaps even earlier: the
physical layout of the valley favors the cultivation of
vines because the mountains tend to block or turn aside the
coldest winds, thereby creating suitable microclimates in
which grapes have flourished since the remotest times. |

White: straw yellow more or less intense with pale
green or golden. Fresh and pleasant smell. Dry, slightly acidulous, at times lively - Red:
ruby red or pink color, depending from the vinification;
vinous, fresh and typical odor; dry, pleasant, at times
spritzy and harmonious flavor. |
