Production zone The communal territory of Montalcino, province of Siena. Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a great red wine of Tuscany. Brunello is a local term referring to the grape variety  red Sangiovese. This wine is of superior quality and limited production. Intense, concentrated and tannic, it tends to require long aging and comes onto the market five years after the harvest

Cherry red with a pink edge and just a suggestion of browning. Soft, full-flavored wine with a velvety texture,  full-bodied and very chunky, with lots of round tannins and a long, long finish.
